About the author

I’m a chorister, composer,arranger, and a senior undergraduate student in the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. I am majoring in Music Education.

I have studied with Rubén Colon Tarrats, artistic director and co-founder of the Discover Puerto Rico and its Choral Music, an international Choir Festival here in Puerto Rico and with Mons. Abel Di Marco, Harmony and Counterpoint professor at the university and Director of Ars Antiqua: a choir that specializes in Renaissance music which I co-founded with some of my fellow peers.

Some of the festival’s I’ve been a part of are the “Discover Puerto Rico and its Choral music”(2006,2007,2009 and 2011), the Rubén Colon Tarrats Choir Festival(Cristo Rey Academy) (2004,2006,2007,2009 and 2011). Among my fellow peers I was part of the Loto-Quebex World Choir Festival in Laval Quebec, Canada (June 2010), in South Carolina’s Festival of Choirs in April 2011 (DrAmes, Guest Conductor), and a 6 day tour in New York in May 2012.

In December 2010 I have been a guest conductor in the Pontifical Catholic University “Ofrendas al Mesias“(Student Conductor), in the “Noche de Logros” Christmas Concert in the Juan Morel Campos Music Institute in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 2010 and 2011, and in the Spring Concert of the Pontifical Catholic University “El Señor es Amor en Primavera” as the Associate (Student) Conductor.

Exalumno del Colegio Ponceño, clase “Sui Generis” 2007. Graduado de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico (recinto de Ponce) donde estudio Educacion Secundaria en Música (Dirección Coral y Voz) con un grado menor en Inglés en Mayo del 2012.

Poeta, Compositor, Arreglista,Coralista y Director Coral. Ha estudiado con Rubén Colón Tarrats (Morfología y Análisis Musical, Dirección Coral I y Dirección Coral Avanzado), Abel Di Marco (Armonía y Contrapunto), María Ondarra (Voz) y Nahir Laracuente (Historia de la Música). También ha estudiado con la Dra. Mercedes Torres Almodóvar (Literatura y Escritura Creativa-Inglés). Ha pertenecido al Coro del Instituto de Música Juan Morel Campos (2002-2007)-Directora: María Ondarra- donde ha sido Director Invitado en tres ocasiones. Esta en el Coro de Conciertos y en el Coro de Cámara de la Pontificia Universidad Católica (Director: Rubén Colón Tarrats) y en la Coral Municipal de Ponce (Rubén Colón Tarrats-director). Ha representado a Ponce y Puerto Rico en varios festivales internacionales.
